About the Author:
Sabine Jell-Bahlsen studies African Cultures focusing on the Igbo of South Eastern Nigeria and has written several publications on Mammy Waters and the Water Goddess in Igbo Cosmology. She holds an MA in ethnology from Free University, Berlin, Germany as well as a Ph. D. in anthropology from the New School for Social Research, New York, NY.
